50 Precious Words Entry

Vivian Kirkfield was gracious enough to host 50 Precious Words back in March. It’s an amazing competition where you need to tell an entire story in only 50 words. I struggled at first and then decided my struggle could be the story. Here’s what I submitted:

Fifty Words by Brad Weinberg

Brad needed to tell a story in fifty words …or else the world might end!
He searched for some semblance of a plot …a charismatic protagonist …a picturesque setting.
He came up empty handed.
He failed.
But the world didn’t end.
Brad learned that failure is okay.
Life goes on.
